@Jordonf9 this denim looks amazing. I really fancy the slim tapered version but between these, and the two 888's coming I just don't know where to start. Look forward to seeing some pics. Great purchase
EDIT: Oops… just looked further up the thread. They are a lovely colour and that fit pre-soak looks real nice.

Thanks. Yea, you thin twigs who can wear slim pants….I got somewhat beefy thighs, I require 13.5" thigh at least to be happy. 8.5-8.75 hem is my magical number for what I wear.
I wear a lot of 34-34.5 inseam perfectly, love to get these to shrink 3/4" more like I should be able to , but don't want those tight thighs or waist. I know they will wear back out, but right now in summer heat...SUCKS
I am so happy the 888 cut is finally coming out, perfect cut for me. I won't be doing the UHR as I have a pair of 21/23oz 10th anniversary that I rarely wear as it is. Hopefully some ducks, OD and SBG come to the cut

@Jett129 I have work them for at least 5 days or so and slept in them. Cool soak and hot soak. I would say they are just a tad less comfy then the original 21, so really nice! I like how the warp(I believe that's the name, or face of) is rougher than the 21 by a bit and just as soft with the beige weft. They really nailed this denim! Slightly less breathable as the 21 of course

@Jordonf9 I am a 25oz guy (from your previous posts, I believe you are too), how are these compared to 25oz in terms of weight and thickness.
I don't mind 21oz, but I personally don't care for the softness and breathability…I prefer the heaviness and ruggedness of the 25oz. I am hoping these may be similar.
-
@Jordonf9 I took naps in mine they were so comfortable. In theory they should feel heavier and be slightly less breathable than the 21OZ,but I'm not finding that to be the case. Not sure if it's a function of the fact that they're a bit roomier. Maybe my imagination. I machine washed and dried mine right out of the bag, then wore them for 12 days straight. Going to wear them tomorrow when riding. Have you worn yours on the bike? On another note,my friend flew to NC and backed out of the Indian deal as he,and the dealer could not get the bike into neutral after riding it. You ever have that problem?
-
@Dstauffer I have the 25OZ 777S as well, and these are nothing like them.Way softer and more breathable. No problem wearing them in 80 degree temps in NYC,where as I'd be sweating like a pig in the 25XHS. Also much easier to break in.
-
Never even tried one a pair of 25 oz. I am hopefully going to own the 25oz od which comes out soon though.
The only pair of 21 I have is the double knee/loggers, which are the loosest fitting IH denim I have and they are SO comfy to wear. I actually just hot soaked and lightly washed them earlier tonight, hope for a little shrinkage. The 22 is a slimmer fit, about the slimmest I would want in thigh and knee to fit comfortably for me. I have taken many rides with these already, just like every other Jean , all depends on cut/numbers.
Can't wait get a bit more fading as the indigo looks like a super bright, saturated blue….looks awesome for how little I have between my thighs ha.
-
@Dstauffer I would say the 16.5 oz double duck is a super hard Jean. Just washed mine and they felt like sandpaper in some spots. Kind of sad they shrunk just a tad, they are the tighest IH I have and the least forgiving, I can't come to bear selling them even though I wish I had another .5" in thigh and knee at least.
-
IMHO, 25oz may ruin you for all other denim…it did for me at least
Yup. Mine have been relegated to work jeans however after a washing mishap. But 25oz is too good.

I've been into Selvedge for a while but IH has ruined me for many types of clothes. I Consider myself a warm weather person. I'm a boardshort and Tshirt type of guy. Now all I wanna do is wear my jeans. And I can't because it's between 88-100 degrees here everyday.

So why can't you wear your jeans?

Bro, I work construction and bartend. 90-100 degrees and 90% humidity. I'd hav e to
Wash my jeans every day. And the amount I sweat is just ridiculous. 250z in this weather? Nah man. -
I know how to feel. I don't do construction, but I sweat easy and when I go at a project, either it be an hour or all day. I go at it…sweat starts immediately and I am just drenched in sweat all day, jeans will be completely soaked....like I just jumped out of the lake. Sucks

I have an auto shop in Phoenix and although we don't have that kind of humidity I totally understand. I can realistically work in about 12-16oz denim depending on the time of year although casually I can wear 18-21oz for most of the year depending on the weave. As much as everyone loves the 25oz denim I just don't know if I can do it in my weather either, although it seems to be much more breathable than the UHR so maybe it's doable in the winter.

Today was a pretty average summers day for me. I was digging a trench in my XHS

I thought you were breaking my balls. My sweaty balls
yeah it's crazy. I wore my 634s most the day today but I was grilling for about an hour and after that I folded and threw on some shorts.
48 degrees in the summer?! Wow man. That's just way different from
What I'm used to. No wonder you guys slay at xcountry skiiing.I sweat buckets when I work.its the humidity that gets me.
