There's no Such Thing as a Stupid Question

Thanks @Alex @manufc10 & @neph93 for your inputs. Until the 18 oz or 14 oz comes in 888 or 1955 cuts, I will have to go with the 1955s or 888s as the thighs aren't big enough for me at tag size 30.
Two things -
a) Iron Heart jeans last a long time.
b) In my opinion, you also need to wear a pair of jeans for around a year to break it in, bring out the fades, and give it the love it needs.Given these points, how does one justify buying any more than two pair of jeans, especially when last year's jeans are going strong?
Depends on each individual…
If you're buying IH jeans BECAUSE they last long and you won't need new jeans for a long time, it would be "excessive" (And counter-intuitive) to have several pairs. I don't think too many people here fall in to that category though.
Fashion/style is a hobby for many of us here, and that alone can be the justification.

And buying multiples of the same jean because you like them so much ???-yeah you might have a problem.

@Sreeni I started out with one pair of 634 XHS and only wore those for a year, 2.5 years later, they are my favorite pair….That being said, I have also acquired the following IH denim:
BB XHS
634 21oz
633 UHR (@neph93, I wear these in the summer...you Norwegians need to toughen up a bit)Not a huge collection by any means, but @UnTucked said it best "Fashion/style is a hobby for many of us here, and that alone can be the justification." I have been interested in different fits and denims. Plus, I have found some of the denim is better suited for situations than others. I wear my 633 UHR with sandals and tshirts in the summer, I wear my BB XHS with boots in more "dressy" occasions, I wear my 634 21oz around the house doing chores and in situations where they may encounter getting more roughed up than I would like my other pairs to get.
Its all a matter of personal taste and everyone's is different. Whats awesome here is we have a market place where you can sometimes pick up a pair you want to experiment with for a price that is typically less than the full purchase cost. And then if they don't work like you wanted, you can usually turn around and re-sell them. I have done that with lots of IH items.

Let's not get started on having 20 western shirts…
Makes it IMPOSSIBLE to not let your wife get the same heels in 5 different colors, or 3 purses in different colors, lol
Thats where I get proactive…I am letting the wife do that right now so when F/W starts dropping I don't even have to provide an explanation for when the blue bags start showing up

"Any reason, or no reason at all…"
I like to think to myself "It's better to buy it and not need it, than to be the uncool guy without it", lol! So many unworn items in my closet, because "One day, I might have the perfect outfit for this IHV-26 (Indigo Horsehide vest)! And even if I don't, I can still say I HAVE ONE, AND YOU DON'T!"
I know... I'm a sad, sad human.....

633 UHR (@neph93, I wear these in the summer…you Norwegians need to toughen up a bit)
Haha! I'm an endomorph with the blood of African princes in my veins. I sweat like it too, in buckets, whatever I'm wearing, but in UHR like a pregnant walrus on summer vacay. To paraphrase Craig Finn, I like the warm feeling but I'm tired of all the dehydration.

Wait a minute…I know what this is...I've heard of this before...this is called logic right???
But seriously you are correct if we are thinking logically here but like the others have stated, this is more of a hobby for most of us in here and we all have our reasons for justifying 30 pairs of jeans in our closet. It was stated before by one of the guys already but I'll echo it because it's so true...this is a niche market IMO and you can always resell items that don't end up working out. I feel like I have sold as many items as I have bought over the years and you might be surprised the money that some of your used gear can fetch.
you're a better man than me if you can limit yourself to couple pairs. I just lost that willpower when I was sucked down this selvedge rabbit hole.

This. I have a mate who will àlways buy the stuff that doesn't work for me, so I've been buying more… Still a very lean selection in the closet though... '16-'17 might've been the best year for me... Those brown and green 816 whip-its man... Grey'll be a no-brainer if they're released...

Got up to 90 today with about 80% humidity. Was in my pronto II and whilei could handle it easily,,, it wasn't fun. If these are like linen compared to the UHR… well then holy shit... still gonna preorder them though. $$ from the last two days eBay sales should be in my account by July 13. Sold a pair of alpine star tech 10 boots, a maple baseball bat and a Gustin 3/4 sleeve T-shirt. 210 US. 'Merica
Maybe I posted this in the wrong thread. #888NT

Thanks @Giles
Perhaps, I should have been a bit more specific. Will wearing the UHR in a hot and humid climate (like that of India) lead to problems down there?
Yes. But there are products that can mitigate the issue. Sounds funny but works GREAT!
Thanks @mikebarhoot for suggesting this. I am going to take a look at this for its ingredients.

Haha… as soon as you tell yourself things like "I need a reserve pair", or "it's good to mix up styles" you're doomed anyway. When you end up looking at the website and buying a pair "because you don't have anything in that denim" then you're officially a fiend
Thankfully, most pair of IH bottoms don't fit me.
I am now among those forum members who are relieved because a certain pair won't fit them, thus saving them from the temptation and guilt of buying it.
