It's silver, so it is soft, it'll scratch and pit….

      @fubarovich:

can anyone comment on how this bracelet is holding up? does it scratch easily? just got mine and i want to keep it looking nice for as long as possible. thx

Any piece of silver, as G basically says, will develop knocks and scrapes, but it is all part of developing the character of a piece.

The two key rules that I follow for looking after my jewellery are pretty basic:

      1. Store it properly and separately from other pieces (i.e. At the end of a day if you are going to chuck it into a bag with a bunch of other bits of jewellery in - as one of my mates does - it will get knocked about).

      2. Think about where you are going for the day. For example, If you know that you are going to a Death metal concert and you want to clothesline people in the mosh pit,  Probably best not to wear it (or at the very least take it off).

Other than that I would just wear the hell out of it as it will add character and, in my humble opinion, silver looks better with a but of age and a few knocks.

I have had mine for about a year and haven't taken it off. It keeps getting better with wear. No cleaning or any special care. Just wear it and don't think about it. You could always get a clean and polish at a jewelry store if you want it to look new again.

What do you guys think about pairing IHSI-02 bracelet with GoodArt model 25 "Rock lock" ring, same side hand?  I already own the bracelet, but had my eye on this ring for some time now.

Thanks for the silver care tips, I appreciate it.

Why wouldn't you? I think they would pair especially well.

I have a silly question for anyone who owns this bracelet.
Does this bracelet pull hairs on your arm?  ???

                    Thanks Sage954!

I've read all pages of this topic but still not quite sure about size. I understand that the current 2 different size option is something new. Before that there was only regular size with the option to add more small rings?

I have a wrist circumference of 18.5cm. I don't want a snug fit. Does this mean I should go for long, not regular?

I need to shorten mine and have not decided if it’s better to remove 2 links or some of the small loops.  I’ve got the following questions regarding this decision.

                                      (1) Can a normal silversmith remove the links or is this a very difficult process?

                                      (2)  If some small loops are removed will that make it difficult to insert the clasp when putting it on?

                                        1. You'd need to go and ask
                                        2. Depends how tight it ends up, tight = difficult (that applies to point 1 too)

You don't have to remove many small links to make a big difference in the way it feels on your wrist
