So you're pretty close to the tightest hole? Maybe an L would be cool after all then. I don't want to be on the tightest hole of a large belt. I'm losing weight at the moment and don't want to have to hunt for a leather worker over here to adjust a belt that's too big…not exactly blown away by ANY of the craftsmen/plumbers/dry cleaners etc etc i've had contact with as yet?! Hmmm...this is more complicated than i'd imagined 😛

bertoni you're probably a Large.  I wear a 31W in the S-B, with a true waist closer to 32" and had the L I picked up shortened a little.

I would say W34 would be one hole out from me, so middle hole of 7 with an L.

Dont want to piss on anyone's parade, but these things are so easy to customise.  They were desiigned to be simple to reduce in length.  I ordered almost all of the tan IHB-01 over length, someone orders a smaller size it is like a 5 min job to shorten,,,,,,G

I'd go L.  I am wearing waist 33 IH-666S with an L IHB-01, at the mo and I am on 2nd hole of 7 (that is 5 more holes for beer gut expansion)

Thanks G. Will do. Looks stunning! Do you think the stock of Ls will last till next month? Counting the pennies after a rather abusive month (Melton AND Yuketens)…a coke habit would probably be cheaper?! No plans to rehabilitate myself of this habit of mine just yet 🙂

Is it not covered in indigo stains from the 634S? Was thinking of treating it to protect it from the stains. Any idea how to remove them and clean the belt once they're there? Looking forward to getting it over here anyway. I see you've been bitten by the IH bug Rocket. Me too…want a shirt next...where will it all end  🙂

I don't mind stains, there are mostly right now on the inside anyway and for me this only adds to the character and is part of the fun…

I have ordered a tan calf credit card holder that will be cool to watch after some weeks in my back pocket, guess this will turn out pretty blue pretty fast...

For the cleaning, Beatle might be the better one to ask, usual leather cleaning should be fine.

                                      and yes  😉

The IHB-02 I recently picked up (second hand) has developed some fraying along the edge of the belt on both the upper and lower sides, and this leads to a fair amount of (brown) coloring coming off on my pants. Not such a big deal on the jeans, but quite annoying on khakis.

Figuring I gotta take it to a proper leatherworker, but not too many of those around these days, we have a few shoe repair places here but that's about it.

Any tips on potential self-doable remedies, that don't involve advanced leatherworking skills? I'm sure it requires some wax, but I'd guess some buffing and potentially power tools are involved and I'm thinking it'll need attention of an expert.

Anyone else experienced this with their IH belt?

you mean the edges are bleeding color? Might try this.

Take the belt and some tapwater in a cup and thickish cotton cloth. (I used a piece cut from old jeans)

modestly moist the edge with water with your fingertip, take the piece of cloth and rub the edge with it with rapid back and forth movements. Soon you'll see it to burnish. You're done.

bleeding, yes, because the edges are fraying. sorry for the crappy cell phone pic but does the job.
