Off topic, but I'm wondering if my best, beloved wife can tell the difference between an OD type III (which I own) and an OD type I (which I want).

EDIT: If pushed, I'd say she couldn't, but I'm not sure I'm willing to bet a few hundred dollars and my genitals on it.

Wow! Thanks G for giving this idea a go.  I also really like the embroidered W as branding idea.  This is a definite purchase for me.

And I've decided, brass oversized snaps…..

Are they the ihsh-76/99 snaps? They are great but I bloody love the branded snaps on the IHV-21 and 24. Would they work on 17oz duck though?

Just a fine detail that I'd like to request:

The red "W" on the left breast pocket, instead of the "Iron Heart" shirt tag

Yes, I like that touch also.

                          Tool roll

(Specifically, something small that could take maybe 4 small spanners, a small 3/8 ratchet and about 4 sockets. And a pocket for small stuff).

Either waxed canvas or duck with leather strap.

Not sure how popular they'd be, though.

This is not yet at the stage "you should make this", but I'm curious if you've ever taken a look at hemp for denim. What would be the pros & cons?

I have a hemp denim vest from pike bros and I can tell you these things:
It was soft when new, stiff as hell after soaking
Hot soak resulted in significant shrinkage
Denim is full of wispy white hairs, presumably from the hemp

Whether any of these are pros or cons is a matter of preference I'd say
