IH-666S-18 - 18oz Vintage Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
Our "Devil's fit" slim-straight cut jeans, made from 18oz vintage selvedge denim. Reminiscent of denim from the early to mid-1900s, this fabric is woven for us at the renowned Shinya Mill, celebrated for its authentic vintage-style denim. Woven under relatively low tension, our 18oz selvedge is looser and softer than some of our more modern weaves, resulting in a pair of very breathable heavyweight jeans that require minimal break-in time. Due to the slightly more irregular weave, you can expect character-filled vertical fading that emphasises the textured nature of the denim.
_"Vintage style" The gospel according to Haraki…..Denim has to be woven slow and low tension by old shuttle loom.
And it has to be the thickest made by this way.
I don't prefer exaggerated face with just using thick yarn. It should be normal, natural face too.
Sanforized is also very important so that we can solve the problem of sizing and consistency. Pure vintage was not my priority. And the sewing should be tough like regular IH heavy oz denim, using core span and thick thread. Again, if we stick to vintage, we would use cotton thread. But we don't do that._

It's pretty much a foregone conclusion that this will be my next pair of jeans. I'm really excited about this denim, I've been hoping for a more breathable IH denim in this weight range for a while. I'm glad these are extant, I have to get my credit card under control first.
Looking forward to your evo pics, Giles. -

The coming of of highly anticipated "Yenim" threatens to overshadow this very interesting model, which, however, promises to be the next best seller!
I'm keeping an eye on them every day and, thank God, are extant!
