If it's gonna be a Ferrari #, for the love of god let it be 512…
612
My very rich mate has just bought a brace of 599's because he could not decide if he wanted a red one or a black one…..(tosser).....
Thinking about it, that deserves a place in First World Problems - I think it may win....
does he want a god son?

No. I'm trying to think of some great imagery for the patch, that will drive the lot number, not the other way around.
I tend to think of roomy thighed, tapered cuts as being perfect for squatters (that is people who do squats in the gym, not people with a dubious relationship to property ownership).
The current squat record is 575kg. So call them 575's, tie in heavy weights with heavy denim for the graphics and you're onto a winner.
EDIT: imagery could be a barbell with three plates on each end, bending in the middle under the strain, and a 5,7 and 5 on the rim of the plates.
Shit drawing but you get the idea:
lol this is actually a pretty cool idea. I definitely agree this is a weight lifters cut and is one I have been looking for. There is an American company out of Detroit called Detroit Denim that has a similar cut and they call it the hockey cut as it was modeled for a hockey player.

^ me neither. But judging by SE's experience with the first run of the 301's a few years ago, enough people do so, that it may affect the financial viability of the cut.
form over function for me. if your jeans have a leather ironheart tag, a red w, and the arcs then we all know the quality is unparalleled and worth every penny. i prefer the original 301 cut to the updated version. it's noticeably different. also with as "hip" as selvedge jeans have become i sort of relish the idea of cuffing a pair of non selvedge jeans and thumbing my nose at all the denim "purists" not to mention that it wastes alot more fabric. I get needing to cater to what the customer wants but like Giles said you cant eat your cake and have it to. A cut like this isn't necessarily conducive to selvedge showing. I'm totally cool with that. I want the cut and the fit, i don't need to show off to everyone else that i spent the money.
