M looks great on you [emoji106]
However, would you want to layer under the vest or wear the vest over a jacket?
if so then it's LSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I would go with the L @neph93 … M looks a little tight imo, even for a vest
-
Personally, I would keep both
Ha. Don't think I haven't considered it. But I have an ever increasing number of mouths to feed, I just paid for xmas, and the aprons are coming.
My heart is telling me M, my head L. It should be noted that my heart is still under the impression that I'm 21 years old…

I think both look great. Can't go wrong. I guess focus on what you want to use it for. Maybe consider the possibility of gaining weight? In either case, your situation is ideal because I think both work well.

@neph93 I'd say L, so you can wear it over a flannel or other heavy shirt in the Spring and Fall - still works with a T - plus you might "expand" a bit - my weight tends to fluctuate +or - a few pounds, generally + in the winter. But with the M, if you only wear with a T you could even leave it unbuttoned.

Thank you all for the input, gentlemen. I went with the sensible option and took the L. As has been noted, the M was just a little too trim through the chest. Looked OK with just a tee but still marginal. At the end of the day, the L will get used more. I can heartily recommend this bit of kit. The type III in such a modern fabric ends up being sharp, as well as functional.

Makes me want this vest even more.

Agreed.
Perhaps the vest is the answer to my needs…
Plus, I wear a vest over a hoodie every morning at work, so I know it would see a ton of wear.

Keep your eyes open, guys. I'll be off-loading a few vests (Medium). Been losing weight, and they just don't fit well anymore.
IHV-26 (Yes, the indigo horsehide rockstar vest)
IHV-02 (Indigo and black)Just figured I would give a heads up in the vest-lovers thread, to give the real diehards first pick.
