Really beautiful Twin. We've been fortunate this year to have some really great colors even in the city. Fall finally feels like it has arrived so we got the firepit out for some smores.

Thank you @Anesthetist  This year it is very dry so the colors are not as nice.
BTW keep warm by the firepit. 🙂

Out in Lancaster again today. The castle is under renovation.

I also spotted a Morris Traveller. Not seen one for a while.

I saw this at the station. It's dangerous Up North, which is why we remember in this part of the world. 😛

I was in London a couple of times over the last few days, and the weather wasn't great.

I cut through Knightsbridge, and passed the Ecuadorian embassy, where Julian Assange has been holed up for years. I didn't see the man himself, not his cat, but there was a media scrum outside. He was getting questioned by the Swedish police at the time.

                Banners in support.

This statue on New Bond Street is called Allies, and celebrates the Roosevelt-Churchill relationship during the war.

Hermes have a spider in their Christmas window on Bond Street. Given that women tend to be a target demographic, and have a higher incidence of arachnophobia, this might turn out to be counterproductive. 😉

The Rover found gainful employment after leaving The Village, and now moonlights as a window decoration in The Dover Street Market.

It's supposed to suggest exactly that. It's been generally interpreted as an ironic comment on Brexit and social media fuckery.

Today I'm starting to cook for tomorrows food fest, for 15 relatives. I always love it about 12 hours of food prep for a meal that takes about 30 minutes to devour, if that. Depending on how much I drink, I'll post some photos under what are you cooking today. Happy Thanksgiving by the way.

I was in Preston today, and took a look at some of the modern architecture there. If you fancy a bit of light brutalism, read on! 🙂

This is the Guild Hall. The pillars and front are being clad in timber to soften its look.

Preston Bus Station is considered to be an architecturally important building. It's also been under threat of demolition for the last few years.

                                  The Holiday Inn.

Now for something a bit earlier, this is Lancastria House, a 1930s Art Deco building. It's also under threat of demolition, for no discernable reason. It also features in the upcoming film, "A Monster Calls".

On Monday I took a trip up to the Aero Leathers factory in Galashiels. This is the shop floor.

Chris, who runs Picking and Parry in Melbourne is after an Aeromarine in the natural Vicenza horsehide. I found him one, which was already starting to darken and evolve.

I liked this Board Racer, which was a size too small for me. It was made of a blue-black Horween hide, which was really nice.

David Vanian, lead singer of The Damned, is a long time Aero fan. He'd left his Barnstormer behind as a part exchange for a new jacket. I must have just missed him!

And here he is in his new Cropduster. The picture was stolen from Aero's Instagram feed.

Yeah, they're the 1955 UHRs. I've had them for about three years now, and they've had a fair amount of wear, though the season is a bit limited in Australia.
