Holy shit…
So the wallet arrived. I don't quite know what to say. I can't get my head around the quality of the thing. It's ridiculous but I'm actually struggling to fill it with cards and cash and put it in my pocket. I feel like it should be put in a glass case and only taken out to be stroked and sniffed once a year
One thing for sure, I need to source a new leash/chain of suitable quality and beauty. My IH brass chains are great but a little too heavy duty for this wallet (ironically enough). Suggestions welcome!

Haha, yeah. But no.
I don't know why but I thought that was extinct. Regardless of the price point, and as beautiful as it is, I'm after something a little more subtle. Either thinner or shorter so that I can use the belt loop by the patch on the back. Those silver key chains IH used to do from the same links would work I think.

You could always get @Obbigood to make you a very simple, sleek rounded edge leather reign with a hook. Similar to the Flat Head ones like this - he might even be able to source a similar leather to the wallet.

In danger of engendering thread rot here (could be placed in the leash thread or the First World Problems thread [emoji23]) but the silver ring on the wallet makes me want silver hardware on the leash/chain and the wallet is oxblood so black leather is a no-no. I do like vegtan leashes but mine always end up a fugly blue/brown. Because crocking.
There a few items in the extinct hardware list that would have been ideal. I'm not in a great hurry. The current set up is acceptable until IH come up with something awesome.

I popped by SELA yesterday and was finally able to play with this in person. As much as I love the look and feel I just can't see myself carrying it given the thickness. If there was a version made that was just a card wallet with vertical slots but with the same dimensions I would be all over it!

Looks like my Cordovan is coming apart on the edges.
It’s been my my constant back pocket companion for just under two years.
Hell, its got 21 ounces of warp permanently embossed into the leather!Any idea on how to stop this tearing from spreading?

A couple of months along the line with this wallet. Craftsmanship is absolutely stunning and it attracts attention wherever it goes. Pretty thick but it’s easy to get used to and definitely adds something to its presence. It’s the nicest wallet I’ve ever had and more than likely the last I’ll ever need! Cheers folks! Tom
