I picked up the SE version.  Pretty badass jacket.  I'm pretty excited to get it out and wear it.

SE version lacks the side gussets, but has flannel lining and side pockets.  From what I can tell that's the only difference.

I can see the issue with the sleeves. I plan on wearing it on the MC so the length doesn't bother me. With the gussets zipped it doesn't feel long.

Yea I understand the reasoning for why they did it.  I took the jacket to a high end alteration shop and she said no way they could shorten the arms, so I ended up doing the same as you and zipping up the gussets to tighten around my wrists.

I sampled a black version of this jacket with a collar and pockets for a retailer a while back.  The retailer wanted exclusivity and then decided he could not go ahead with the project (the Yen strengthened so much against the USD, EUR and GBP between project inception and getting the sample, he decided he could not move forward).  So I put the whole thing on hold.

Then someone mentioned brown, and I was all over that like a rash.  H has sourced the horsehide and we're proceeding…..

I'm going with No 1:

Sizing should be same as "vanilla" IHJ-35

The brown leather looks great from what I can tell.
I just flipped through this thread again and it looks like there was a 46 made, but I don't see it in the shop or size chart. Probably would need either a 44 or 46.
Glad to see that it'll have the pockets. Would be great with a nice flannel lining too…
Would the addition of the collar still mean that the jacket would have both chest pockets? Not sure if I have seen a jacket like that, usually the double chest zip is on band collar leather jacket. That being said I'm no leather jacket expert.
Could be shaping up to be my ideal leather jacket.
