I went to the Post Office today to pick up a package. There's a dedicated door outside the main lobby for pick ups. It's usually closed, so there's a sign beside it that says, "Knock twice, politely." So I do, and stand there waiting. A few seconds later, a woman walks up, looks at the sign, looks at me, then pounds on the door for a solid five seconds. Then, she steps behind me in line, just as the the door opens. A pissed off worker looks at me and says in an icy voice, "Can I help you?" I'm all red faced as I hand her my slip and ask for my package. Then she looks at the woman behind me, smiles and says sweetly, "I can get yours, too."
Well played, woman. Well played.

Great email from a customer this morning….
"Evening,
Had to share this. I know I've been ringing your ear about the IHSH-85 these last couple weeks. I haven't taken the damn thing off since it was delivered. A few of "our guys" noticed. See, we are boarding-school house parents at a large school here in US. Kids come here not because they're "bad kids" but because, generally, something bad happened to them and they could use the benefit of a free, high quality education.
Its a great job, my wife and I work together. We rotate between four senior boys homes, 48 gents in total.
One guy stopped in the office tonight to ask a question and saw IH-2526J I had up on the computer screen. He flipped about the price.Forty five minutes later he finally stops asking more questions about Iron Heart and the wonders of the raw denim world. He couldn't believe the shirt on my back would have cost me over three hundred dollars but by the end of the night, this broke kid from the local city seemed to lock onto the idea that there is more to life than whatever Yeezus is preaching about today.
Maybe a future customer. Ether way, it was awesome to use your company as a teachable moment. I think the kid learned something. I told him to dig up the mill visit videos y'all have floating around on YouTube.

I had a Best Made catalogue sitting on my desk at work the other day, and a guy I work with picked it up and started flipping through it. He was shocked at the price of a shirt in there. I explained that the shirt was made in USA by adults earning a fair wage and that they guarantee everything they make. I then asked him if the $30 shirts made in Bangladesh that he's accustomed to were the same. He walked away with a new perspective.
You get what you pay for if you're smart.

So my good friend in SF had been wanting some IH ever since I bought him his first 3sixteens. I guess his willpower finally caved with this SE sale.
His text to me was "I hate you…..and....thank you!"
