It's funny you mention that, I had quite the discussion with the knifemaker about this knife, and asked him how would one distinguish between one of his swords and one of his large bowies

He gave me a steely look and said "cuz I said so, shithead"

funny cuz that's was my first reaction as well but then, i thought hold on i have them too  reading the thread most people seem to have pretty legit reason for owning these things. i live in middle earth after all

My Dragonfly's G10 handle has the awesomest denim stains, I'll post up a pic after christmas.

And since we can talk about kitchen knives as well, my choice is Mac knives. I love the feel of the wooden handle and the weight distribution on these. Started using them when I was studying to become a cook in the early 90's and I still use my first Mac (a 20 cm knife) daily. Moved on to another career later but still love cooking!

Very nice Jii, how is the little knife? I've thought about upgrading my Chive to something a little bit bigger…

It's nice but it is very small for my fairly large hands. It's pretty comfortable to hold but the blade feels a little short sometimes. The lanyard gives a bit of extra control, my pinky finger doesn't fit on the handle so it grips the lanyard. But hey, I wanted a small knife that would fit in the coin pocket and this sure fits the bill.

Kind of wanting a BM Mini Griptilian at the moment but it is a bit bulkier…

I have a mini griptilian. I've almost never had it in my person since it's very thick and I don't like to keep it in my pocket. The blade is very good and the opening/locking mechanism is maybe the best I've used. It's about three times as thick as Chive (edit).

EDIT: Not Chive but Scallion!
EDIT EDIT: I'm obviously a bit confused. It is indeed Chive, they're very much alike…
