Pocketknives/Kitchen Knives/Fixed Blades

hay guys.
i have a small collection of knives etc but non of them ever see
the light of day anymore.
sorry for the bad pic just did some quick snaps on my cell.

this is my favorite and was most useful
17 inch with a 12inch blade
just a little over 1.10 Lbs which is pretty light for the size
perfectly balanced with most blade wight on the tip so great for chopping

It's funny you mention that, I had quite the discussion with the knifemaker about this knife, and asked him how would one distinguish between one of his swords and one of his large bowies

He gave me a steely look and said "cuz I said so, shithead"

funny cuz that's was my first reaction as well but then, i thought hold on i have them too  reading the thread most people seem to have pretty legit reason for owning these things. i live in middle earth after all

My Dragonfly's G10 handle has the awesomest denim stains, I'll post up a pic after christmas.

And since we can talk about kitchen knives as well, my choice is Mac knives. I love the feel of the wooden handle and the weight distribution on these. Started using them when I was studying to become a cook in the early 90's and I still use my first Mac (a 20 cm knife) daily. Moved on to another career later but still love cooking!
