i take the MSC every ~3-5 years and the group course ~5 years.  keeps me on my toes weather i have a bike or not (currently no…😢). added bonus is they (course companies) use 125's typically if you dont bring a bike and my small petit self (not) generates humor/tension reduction to the class/s.  plus, they're fun as hell! courses and 125's.

@dylantbmayes @mikebarhoot @Anesthetist R-E class. it's single one on one with an assessor from the DOT. basically to ride any motorcycle up to 650cc. i've driven for 5 or so years now and old habits die hard.

being "test standard" for a test wreck the shit out of me. everything was done well to the assessor, emergency stop and u-turns except for the point where i came out from a T junction turning right from right and thought "geez shouldn't be in the right lane, let's keep left then." since no instructions means going straight. it was clear but switched lanes to fast for "test standards". when we got back, he said he was happy with me sitting in the right lane. well then i thought, fuck my life then..

          Sorry to hear, @louisbosco!

Sounds a bit different to how it's done in SA.

A friend of mine just got his learners and invested in a brand new Honda Grom, they are a neat little bike.

Good luck with the test next time.

I don't think that this belongs in Random Rants, but it is Grom related. 😉

They do look fun, little bikes.

uh… maybe i already have a car license already that's why. so all i have to do is book the test for the class and take the test. though i just checked and i think the department of transport are state governed rather than federally governed. already booked another for the 20th. should go fine knowing what to expect. all i gotta do is keep a sound mind. 🙂 cheers lads!

Motorcycle Learners is a two day course in SA, and requires at least your P's (I think) in order to take part.

Once you've completed your L's you need to do an advance course (can be taken at anytime within two years) to get your full license.

Close to $1000 when all said and done.

in WA, it's as cheap as it gets. $75 for the test itself. if you've confident enough for test standards and have your own bike, it's about as much as you pay. if not most instructors charge $75-80 for a lesson, then it's about how well you pick up riding. i had about 5 or so lessons to be "test standard" ready..

We were at Ikea when a woman walks in looking upset and flustered. Apparently SHE left her iphone at the store but a sales associate found it and turned it in. Now, instead of being grateful, this miserable twat demands gift cards and compensation because Ikea wouldn't ship the phone to her house which is 30 minutes away. It was horribly inconvenient for her to have to drive "all the way" back to the store. Unbelievable!!

To be fair, IKEA wouldn't ship a wardrobe which I had bought from them to my house, which is about 30 minutes away. So she had fuck all chance of a phone  😉

I had goods that were made in 'First World'-countries with a horrible quality and life span whereas things made in 'unpopular' countries held up pretty well with a convincing quality.
