I hem all my jeans (or Giles does, rather) to a 33.5" inseam, leaving 1.5" for stacking… I just prefer jeans this way, also why I like a slimmer fit (smaller leg opening). I could have my jeans hemmed to a 32" and have them fall 'perfectly' on my shoes but that fit is for squares  😉 😉

I still cuff now and then, when I feel like it... Or when I think it looks good, and to keep this on topic, eg. SEXIH01 (original length, ~34.5") with double rolled cuff on top of sneakers...

I have jeans I have specifically cuffed, and others that I don't have cuffed

One reason is because I have jeans specifically for work. I don't find that cuffed jeans are very professional, that's just my view.

The other reason is more practical, I find that if I cuff tapered jeans, I have a hard time getting my boots inside my jeans

I know violence is not the answer, I got it wrong on purpose

This is easy; Bootcuts, no cuffs, others, cuffs. That's how I wear mine.

(ofcourse there is one/two exceptions, 501's StF's that were originally tagged L32 and my 802's which actually needs cuffing. They were hemmed to 31,5 and they sag too much. My inseam is incredibly short)

Partly because I'm short as hell and don't want to
Drag my jeans its a pieve of mine and when I'm working
it keeps them out of the way
              Also its my style
With that said. I don't care how any of us wear our jawns
As long as we wear them in IronHeart Otaku spirit and

Nay never get cuff lines, hot tip: make sure you adjust cuffs in various length between washes; one wash wear the cuffs high, one wash wear them long, another wash inbetween - no problem!

I like to cuff, but only when necessary.  😘  (I.E neither of my TW's need cuffed, but some of the other brands of denim I have with longer inseem I do cuff.)

One problem with cuffing in this weather, is that a chunk of slush/ice/sludge/grit gets in the cuff and sits there it's probably doing horrible things to the denim  😞

i always cuff. mainly because i'm semi-short and i get my jeans hemmed enough where i can actually have a decent amount of length to cuff with. i also wear boots almost all the time. i think it's a timeless look and just really gnarly.

ps-am i the only person that thinks cuff lines on beat up pairs of jeans look awesome?

I don't cuff anymore. In fact, I had a tailor professionally alter all my jeans (not many, mostly Iron Heart) to proper length. Why ? Well, I dunno…inevitably, my jeans would end up dragging and the cuffs would become all ripped and shredded anyway...so may as well snip them off altogether. I found cuffs annoying ultimately (and gross, during Northern California's very wet, rainy winter season). Somehow, cuffs don't work with me...

I've been wearing straight-cut, looser jeans these days so the cuffs do end up dragging, since the W30 jeans end up really loose and boyfriend-y after repeated wears.

It's true that with the skinnier styles, the hugely stacked cuffs are no problem (no drag)...but I've kind of given up on the skinner styles -- though I am slender myself.

Here's another sinful, criminal thing I do, but I really don't give a shit...when I buy jeans anymore (not often), I never buy them altered by Giles or Kiya beforehand. NEVER. Why ? Because I want to be able to return them brand new and tags in tact should things not work out in the fit. Giles lets you do this anyway (return altered jeans) but I don't think it's proper to take advantage of this.

Finally, I like trying on a pair of jeans for a tailor and having him/her measure the length...I just purchased two pair of 801s from Giles (duck and black) and straight to my Russian tailor I went...they'll be done this Friday.

Do I worry about the selvedge line showing, chain-stitching and all that ? Nah...I don't give a rat's ass. I just don't give a shit.

As long as the jeans are amazing, and look good on me...that's all I care about.

I also cut the chain-stitch run-off on all my IH XS shirts...I find them fucking annoying as fuck.

I know...I know. I'm very different than many of you here. I'm not as OCD about Japanese denim issues as many are...but trust me, I'm extremely OCD about a host of other topics.
