Some questions, sorry for asking, but I take, that these shirts will be available again? Do they show the same detailing (selvage line for example) as the 12 oz western shirts? And how "comfortable" or stiff is it to wear? i mean, is it more like a jacket (then I would go for a bigger size) or can it be worn like a normal shirt?

No selvedge on these.  I will remake at some point, but no immediate plans.  Some people wear as a shirt and some as a jacket.  I'm sure others will chip in…...G

The shirt is stiff but unless you size super tight it shouldn't be bad.  A few days in it and it's more forgiving.  That said, I sized mine a little bigger to layer with a sweatshirt and wear like a jacket.  Either way you can't go wrong.

Thank you. I figured out to go with my true size (which is an L), that is enough to wear a tee underneath. I fell in love with it, you know. If it's too big, I fear I'm only able to wear it occasionally.

Compare to other Japanese brands, then perhaps yes.  Thank God IH are sized bigger, I can never get really comfortable in other Japanese (e.g. the Flat Head) brands.

Ive got a skinny ass mid section/waist, i do wish IH tops were at least a little more tapered than they are. That's just me though

I have a pretty thin waist compared to my shoulders as well, but I like the way they taper down. It leaves room for me to move around/climb/crawl and the shirt will fall back into place

I hate it when shirts ride up and I have to yank my clothes back into place

I have a couple shirts that are more tapered, and they're reserved solely for going out when I know I'm not going to be doing much of anything. IH is more versatile for me, they look great and I can go out in them, but I also know I can work in them

It is with great regret that I have to announce the imminent demise of this shirt in its various forms.  There is no 16oz Super Black material left, so no more runs are to be made.

We are working on a similar weight denim at the moment, spefifically for the replacement shirt.  It is likely to be an sbg (Super Black fading to Grey)…

So, got me the XL. Crossing fingers that it fits. But I checked with my Carharrt HArbor Shirt - it should be ok.
