      This on the other hand….

…was mental. Not sure if it was any good as I was bladdered after the first sip. I vaguely recall thinking "De Molen with bitter herbs" before I passed out.

"Beer swillin eejit" will suffice, though…  🙂

Just had a Stille Nacht 2014 - yes it's like fortified cider with candi sugar added... But dear GODS is it good...

On another note, Single Cut out of Astoria NY is putting out some really great stuff. This IIPA is almost perfect.  Way easier to get than TH too.

                  A few recent ones-

I like most of the beers I've tried from Hitachino, but this is one of my favorites.

This was a disappointment.  The complete lack of carbonation killed it for me.

Same problem.  Flat as tap water.  Decent flavor, but I just couldn't get past the, I don't know what it's called- "mouth feel"?

This, on the other hand, was a pleasant surprise.  I bought a six pack of it back in 2011 and didn't really like it.  As a result, it got pushed to the back of my beer fridge.  Lately I've been cleaning out old stuff, and I decided to give it a try before I poured it down the sink.  I don't know if my tastes have changed, or five years of aging have improved it, but it's really good.  I'll have try the fresh version and see what I think.

@NewTopGearPresenter - glad I didn't ship you what I had in mind… Needs to be carbonated: check... 🙂

It is so good I could cry... Honestly: amazing... And this isn't even their top material...

At a birthday party tonight. Both really good. A lot more bourbon flavor in the green label.

Really nice farmhouse ale brewed with honey and tangerines. Great summer beer.

Also drank the 2013 oak barrel aged grand cru from BFM. Really nice, but the flatness was my only complaint.
None the less it was delicious, I'm interested in how that Vin Jaune version is @Seul !

Another Jester King collaboration, this time with Local Option. This one was Feral Dampf.
Gotta say not my favorite beer from Jester King. Maybe it ages well? No idea…

And I really wanted to go get a bottle of gin barrel Nocturne Chrysalis but just look at this damned line…

Have to say no beer is worth that kind of wait!

@Sage954 the Haze is a double and super dank. The Julius is juicier altogether.  Both have their merits I just tend to like DIPAs the most. Haze was almost sold out when I went so I only got a few cans. 1 is in the fridge and ready to go, must exercise willpower.

Aged in Heaven Hill barrels for two years (?) I think. Most limited version. I also hate you.  😠

This Christmas Bomb from last year is a lot better than the 2014 versions.
