…When we bought the (wreck of a) house 10 years ago, the only thing in the garden was the house.  The garden was designed, planted and built by me and Paula.....It's actually a central part of who we are......

It is a truly beautiful garden! Amazing spot to relax in during summer.

I have fond memories of sitting around the pond, drinking beer and talking away with G and P.

That is unique.  Makes the ordinary white blossom magnolias around here seem dull.  I can see why you'd want it in your garden

Was very pleased to find my first piece of white jade. Very much a unicorn piece among jade hunters.

With G away again this bank holiday weekend, I decide to sneak off for a "me and my kindle" short break in Portugal.  Weather is not brilliant, but hotel grounds are beautiful (apologies for photo quality, I wasn't wearing my specs!)

Part of the complex is an old 16th C palace and church and they are preparing for a wedding today
