If we do the short deck coat this year it will be a bonus.  So it will come in whatever colour we can do.  We have already ordered the whipcord, so our hands are tied.

Whipcord, what's the difference between it and the jungle cloth than the originals came with?
Why did H go with that choice of fabric? That could be cool info for IH Deck fans like me

Any idea the body/sleeve length for the looking to be? From the pictures it looks like it may be longer (like the 526L vs the traditional Type III), but its hard to tell for sure due to no frame of reference in the picture.

Also, is tentatively this looking to be more of a Fall or more of a Winter release date?

This looks awesome and I hope to get in one if the sizing works out!

Sorry for the confusion G.. by 'originals' I meant the USN issued jackets (I'm assuming this is what they used based on all the repros out there, especially RMC)

I bet it's the same or effectively the same stuff, Whipcord, Bedford cord and Jungle cloth seem to be interchangeable terms for a fabric made of hard-twisted yarns with a diagonal cord or rib….

Selvedge mercerized cotton chino - basically a selvedge version of the chino cloth we use in the 707 and 710…...
