I like this… Bit hot, bit sweet, lotsa bourbon, beautiful clear amber in colour,... Not very refined, but does a very fine job of taking the edge off...

        Just a few recent brews.
Been meaning to try out this West Coast IPA from Green Flash, very nice.
Also not very expensive which is refreshing and glad I have a six pack of it.

This was pretty interesting, Devil's Envy brewed by a pretty new Austin brewery called Circle Brewing.
Amber ale which was fairly light in ABV (4.8%) but whiskey barrel aged. A lot of BA'd brews tend to be heavier hitters but this was light and still had all the flavor. Nice take on a seemingly big trend.

Drinking this now, I'm no gueuze or Belgian beer expert but this is a seemingly really good beer.
Found at the local grocery, did a quick search and found that Hanssens makes some good beers!

Clown Shoes does a nice stout product, especially the BA stuff. If you can, try Flight of the Angry Beast.

I like Clown Shoes beers quite a bit, haven't had much of their stuff lately.
First time trying out Lakewood Brewing, as I had heard good things about this beer.
And it lives up to the good things I heard! Nice coffee and vanilla flavors.

Barbecue til 3am yesterday… Housewarming party at my mate the day before... Feeling a wee bit fragile today...

The only pic I took was this:

Which was a-ok… Drank a 2008 Rochefort 8 before that, which was better  😃

Started with this yesterday: http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/boon-oude-geuze-black-label/367485/ Tad boring, but definitely great geuze...

Too bad about the Prairie Gold.  I like it, though I've only had it on it's own.  I can see how it could suffer following something else, though.

I shouldn't have drank it after the 3F… But I had to pick something from the refrigerator and there's no geuze in it yet...

I will pick up another bottle and try it on its own...

Btw, this is the bottle next to the De Cam beers: http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/to-ol-peardon-my-french/393446/ How freakin awesome does this sound?..

Cider-like Saison brewed with Pears and aged on Sauterne barrels. This crisp ale is straw coloured and sparkling using only Pilsner Malt and Unmalted Wheat, however we used Cider yeast and brewed it with Pears and used Calypso hops, to layer this beer with fruit flavours. This beer was then infused in Sauterne barrels, a sweet French wine, with Brett added into the barrels.

Mikeller Citra DIPA. Wow, very well done, will keep these on hand.
