That 4:20 by omnipollo is amazing. I have 6 in the fridge!

Can't wait to drink it. One of my favorite bottle shops just started getting a lot of new Belgian stuff. Definitely looking for suggestions on things to look out for cuz I know squat about Belgian beer. Saw a Yule Maelk (sp?).  Paging Seul…

Found another bottle of Saison Rue from The Bruery so I figured I would open one now and see how it is fresh.
Turns out it's absolutely delicious!  😘

              Anyone ever have this happen?
This was in a cabinet in my laundry room, so in a mostly dark and air conditioned place.  No idea when it exploded, which is weird, since I think I'd smell beer in a room I go into daily.

Only thing I can think of is that it's unfiltered and unpasteurized, so maybe the yeast kept doing their thing until the CO2 buildup blew the lid off?

Active yeast and CO2 buildup almost definitely caused it.

If the yeast (or bacteria since Gose tend to have acid producing bacteria) haven't had time to fully eat all the sugars in the beer they can keep on working in the package and cause it to bursts.

A small misstep on bottle (or can in this case) conditioning could cause that to.  In that process, just enough sugar is added to the beer just before packaging so that once the beer is packaged the yeast can continue to work and carbonate the beer naturally.  Add to much sugar, and boom!

Thanks, @Seul and @emceeQ; good to know I didn't do anything wrong, other than not drink it fast enough.  It is a tasty beer.  New batch should be coming out soon, I expect.  I'll have to restock…

I have a can of Westbrook Gose in my fridge from last year… Wondering if that's ok to drink... Reckon it's a sour beer, so should be still good?..

512 Cascabel Cream Stout at dinner, very nice.
The chilis bring the sweetness down a notch and make for a nicely balanced stout.

The Bruery Mischief, getting better as it warms up.
