my 1st pair 634s, which were stolen
634sb, also stolen while getting repaired
so i got 634II
and another pair of 634s
got 634 grey on deck
and the 634 raw, worn once..
trying to decide which ones to wear next

After the presentations on the Hello board, I'm here for my first post, I'm 45 old and it's time for a real denim, for my first IH…!

As I told to Mr. G, I'd like to start bravely with a 634-XHS, but I need your help for the sizing.

I don't wear denims from a long time, except for a "performance" one (Intercept PD Pant from TAD) I bought last year, for my shooting sport activity. It is a 36-34 labeled.

Here the measures, please keep in mind that it has a really comfortable fitting and has a roomy waist size for IWB (inside waistband holster), without holster and belt, it falls down on the knees. For the XHS I don't really need space for IWB carrying.

Intercept PD Pant
Waist: 40.5
Front rise: 11.8
Rear rise: 17.7
Hem: 7.9
Inseam: 34.7

So... in stock there is a 38 and a 40, which one do you suggest?

I'd go 38….

Surely you have another pair of pants of some sort with a proper fitting waist. Measure the waist on that pair just to be sure. Giles is probably right with his recommendation, but you might as well be sure. You might need a pair that measures 37" at the waist, and if so the IH crew might be able to find you a slightly larger pair of size 36 that might be perfect.

I ordered a 38 and Paula told me that there is only a pair in 38 label and it's accurate measurement is 37…

I asked about the only one in stock labeled as 40 and I'm weating for a reply...

Now I'm dressing a chinos and it is a comfortable 39.5, that I cannot dress without the belt...

40's. Washed twice. Measure almost 39. Pic from yesterday. 80 degrees at a olive tree farm in Texas Hillcountry. Love the fit everywhere but the top button. Aka. I need to eat less and exercise more.
