N1-Deck Jacket classic style & cut (like the IHM-10, etc.) with blanket or complete quilted lining … (additional to the Alpaca variant)

I love the Alpaca, but these mild winters driving me nuts. Too toasty with Flannel shirts .. and too cold with only a T-shirt underneath.  :-\

Because I have other ideas that I think will sell better and Haraki has never got around to it.  It may happen at some time…..but frankly, we have far too many cut/fabric combinations and I need to start seriously rationalising....

              This makes me sad.

I saw these black wabash pants on the Pronto website.  Not painters or double knee.  Just looked liked a pretty straightforward 5 pocket pant.  Not sure of the cut.  I'd buy those or something similar.  Hopefully on the slimmer side.  Also, could you tell me what I saw beyond "black wabash pants"?

@Giles how about an IHSH-85 with pockets? now that the lighter weight shackets are coming out, maybe the 85 with pockets would fit into the overall aesthetic of the IH line up?

if possible, close-able pockets? I wouldn't so much put my hands in them as I would keep stuff in the pockets. if you've kids or bikes or boats- or even juts tight jeans, extra pockets are great

the standard, smaller (mid-sized I guess) snaps are cool as is too?

Yes - a Superblack shacket with pocket snaps like the N-1 is an ace idea.

Also, @Giles - is there a reason why no more "hybrid" work/western shackets like the D-01? Or an absolute work shirt shacket with hand pockets?  I figured it's because work shirts sell more slowly than westerns, but perhaps there is an aesthetic reason as well.

                                  Cheers,

An 85? That's the Johnny Cash Too Western, no? If so that is a great idea. That was my first IH shirt and I love wearing it as a shacket already. I'd shell out for another one with pockets, no doubt.

Lovin' the ihsh-85 with pockets idea!

Not totally lovin' the pocket snap idea though.  On a N-1 or an IHV-05, they're great.  On a shirt, there is no need IMO.  I now have four IH shirts with pockets and nothing has ever fallen out unless I am laying flat on my back, and even then it doesn't always happen.  In those rare cases, I do not believe that pocket snaps would always prevent coins or keys from falling out.  The pocket-bags are slanted down-ward slightly, so in normal situations, there is space below the bottom of the pocket opening where coins and keys can collect.    But, I would imagine that the snaps would be uncomfortable with such a small pocket opening, i.e. there would be no way to avoid contact with the snaps when your hands are in the pockets, which is all the time for me.  On the IHV-05, the pockets are much bigger, so there is plenty of space to put you hands without hitting the snaps all the time.  But this is only my perspective, do what you like.  🙂

On the work-shirt with pockets, I think the extra stress on the buttons from having keys/hands in the pockets would mean that you will be sewing and re-sewing the buttons when they come loose or fall off.  Snaps work great on IH shirts.  I'm lovin' the work-shirt cut idea, but I believe a work-shirt with snaps would be best for this purpose.

It occurs to me that a work shirt shacket would be an even better fit than a western because if the straighter sides. Also a blanket/quilted work shirt would be the mutts nuts, but I know that's IH retail suicide.
