They seem to be doing really well in Norway (you guys get more than us here in Sweden) and most part of Sweden, but not here in the south. Apparently it's not exotic enough. Damn neighbours! I'm privileged enough to be able to get them anyway though, which makes me happy.

Winter time always has me drinking more Porters and Bocks(Maibocks are REALLY GOOD).

I came to a general conclusion…I will try any beer except IPAs. I know people LOVE them hops, but to me it tastes like pine trees and is HORRID. That is my personal taste, to each their own!

Went nuts last night at dinner. Had some pretty good stuff.
Captain Lawrence Palate Shifter, very good DIPA

Left Hand Wake Up Dead Nitro, really great

Shared this one.  Prairie Bomb. Insanely Good.

Had others but these were the highlights

Pretty nice kriek.  Interesting how it changed as it warmed up.

It lasted long enough to warm up?

There's a Founders tasting this evening I am going to check out. Hopefully some vintage CBS or KBS.  One can dream.

                Did ya score some CBS?..

@Seul nope unfortunately they didn't bring any. I asked and they said what they have left is going to a festival or something. And they aren't making more far as she knew 😞

Not the best barleywine (more of a mix of a barleywine and a holiday ale), but it contains 50cls @9.5% so it'll warm me up and give me a buzz. All I need right now.
If it's anything to go by, I'd certainly buy it again. And not just cause it was cheap.

I prefer craft beers and like trying the weirder and more wonderful offerings I can find, but of the mass produced ones I really enjoy Old Speckled Hen.

                                            From RateBeer (random review):

Pours golden with whiteish head. The head stays. Aroma is sweet, fruits, apricot, some alcohol, apples. Flavor is sweet, fruits, apples, apricot, malt, some booze. Finish has some dry bitterness.
