Giles - Never checked back in with you about changing out the needle on your machine. Were you able to find that small bolt that we were talking about?

Yes thanks. I had always been looking for it with the needle in the up position, so the needle tightening nut was hidden from view. Learnt a massive amount about how to tweak Unity, when I was in Japan, we now laugh at Anniversary's…...

Works almost perfectly. Very occasionally it misses a loop, but that is easy to spot, undo and re-hem. I'm using Schmetz 128GAS in 31

cool thanks that's what i just ordered too also got some coming from Groz-Beckert
so i can compare. FYI don't ever bother with cutting points they just don't work…found out the hard way.

size 31, are you sure? i wasn't aware these needles come in these sizes hmmmm..
