Got mine today. The color is fantastic. Very unique. It works perfectly with my red-head completion. The cotton on this is remarkably soft. Giles' comments about it are dead true. It's noticeably softer and more subtle than my other two UHFs.

      Very happy!

^but weren't all previous UHFs made of the same cotton? I feel like the fabric gets a bit rougher with wear & washing, maybe that's why the new one feels softer.

Are the others Aspero cotton? I thought that yarn was specific to these.

No, I think that's used in all of them. Giles has written a note on somewhere here.

I also believe the UHF's have been produced at a number of different factories. Different looms may account for the different hand on different shirts. Haraki-san owns some factories, or has invested in them, but has a number of smaller, single loom gigs that he likes to use. That is my understanding anyway. Giles will be able to give a precise explanation.

Had to return my XL to get me XXL…The Xl measured the same as my shrunken down SH72, so I thought it would be safer to size up and shrink it down (which I'm currently doing). It's clear today I'm lacking a good photographer.

All UHF's are Aspero cotton.  We lost contact with the guy who wove them for us for a while, Haraki chased him down at another mill after I begged.  So the early version are woven on a different loom in a different mill, but using the same Yarn composition….

@Max Power that makes me nervous about the sizing. How much should these shrink? I have never owned an iron heart shirt and have not yet been home to try it on. The girlfriend says it's about a half inch bigger in all lengths than a favorite flannel of mine. I really hope I don't have to return mine. Getting an XL will be a challenge.

My 72 shrunk about 0,5" in the Arms and shoulder, maybe a bit more. I Expect the Same here. But you just so cold washes or wash by hand it will be ok. The extra 0,5" are probably necessary because of the Heavy fabric.

Edit: the 101TG seems also to have shrunken around 0,5" in most dimensions.

Looks like I'm doomed to buy one of these 😃 I was beaten to the punch by The Recall and I managed to resist The Second Coming through sheer power of will. But I fear The Resurrection is going to be impossible to ignore.

No, 40. There will be more shrinkage at 60 degrees.

Finally got to try my shirt on. (I was out of town, but it arrived last Monday). It fits perfect right now, but I'm concerned about washing it. If I lose any length in the body or arms, it may be unwearable. Of course, there aren't any XL's remaining so I may be stuck with my decision or need to buy from Self Edge if they ever get it. Any thoughts?

Fits great.  I'd say anymore than 1/4" loss in the sleeves and they'd be too short for my liking.  Same goes for length, spot on at the moment.  Personally wouldn't want to lose more than 1/2".  If you lose an inch in length I think it will still be very wearable as long as you're comfortable with more of a Flat Head type length.
