Erm, because it is better. I defy anyone to pick up a Schott and compare it with a leather jacket from Flat Head, or Real mcCoys or Joe McCoys or indeed Iron Heart and say it is better.  I have jackets from them all, and Aero and Simmons Bilt and a few others, so I do know what I am talking about….  And the J100 which this jacket is derived from is a our interpretation of a Buco, not a Schott....

TMG, I've been wearing it around the house this winter, so that definitely helps with the break in.  I had the RMC J-100 which I sold to fund this.  The only thing I miss from that RMC is the veggie tanned smell.
