those look awesome.  anybody ever seen a classic round toe resoled with a lug?

Thankyou sir. Very pleased with the overall look of them. Wasnt sure what to expect! Threw some red laces on them and they look perfect now imo.

Plus they are so much more comfortable! May buy a new pair and get him to do it again.

Were they done by your man in Putney @Cutlasshound ?

8116 a few wears in, decided to give them their first coat of mink oil. Damn this leather is amazing.

Nice!  Red Wings Ironrangers remains a classic. Soles not too thick, heels not too high. For me,just perfect.

Yep.  Have a pair of 8111's and love them, so had my eye out for a black or charcoal version for a while.  Saw these just before they were released on Instagram and they ticked all boxes (rough out, vibram sole, black). Still breaking them in but love them so far.

Quite like the collab pair but holding out for a brown waxed pair as I like how it 'breaks through' blacked wax.

I had a pair of IR 8111s for a while and sold them as I had bought too large a pair.  😠 I now have a pair of the 8105 Oxford Mocs (roughout oxford = yum) and these 2974s:

Which are an unusual leather I can't seem to recall, and as discontinued boots there's little info on em. They have a faint nap to them but they're for all intents a smooth leather.. described on Rakuten as 'black nubuck' but that doesn't quite cut it.. Really strange, but I got 'em for a steal! Still to work out exactly how to care for them.

8111's new vs ~1.5 years.  2 saddlesoap washes and Obenaufs applications.

Snagged these Blacksmith's at my local RW shop.  Needed a sleek black boot and was happy when I put these on.

Figured I would post up some porn for you guys and gals. I have been rocking these pretty hard the last year. I have only used Bick 4 sometimes weekly, sometimes monthly….just whenever I had time and I thought they were a little dry. I do plan on cleaning them with Bick 1...but oh well...ha.

got my self some 8111's some months ago but just can't make them work… tried to break them in and walked 1,5 days in them. since then, my heel hurts unnormal and i cant walk in them for more than 5 minutes. tried several times to pause a few days or a week before the next wear without luck. my left foot won't accept them. it's not a tiny uncomfortable pain it feels like a fractional heel on one point.
i have a pair of cheap ass dickies moctoes in which have no problems to walk in the whole day. really comfy.

so i think i have to part with the 8111's  😞

When my time comes I want to be buried face down. That way whoever doesn’t like me can kiss my ass.

                                        ^ That's unpleasant … I own 3 pairs of Iron Rangers (8112, 8113, 8114) + 1 pair GT's .. never had any problems. Not as comfortable like my Wesco's, but cushy enough.

yup. especially that i still got the bad feeling in the heel since like 3 months… a shame, cause i really love the look of the boots and the size is on point. my right foot has no problems at all.
