I made the most perfect French onion soup tonight. Such a treat paired with the Oude Gueuze Tilquin, fantastic.
Excellent work. Sounds lovely. I'll be drinking it with the classic Norwegian "Ribbe" as we get nearer xmas. Turns out it's not just for quaffing on the veranda in summer

I just finished ordering some crazy Canadian stuff and some Yellow Belly (finally)... Also bought a crate of Orval (30% discount), and just paid a guy for five bottles of that 2008 Rochefort 8 75cls, and 6 Chimay bleu 2010.
It's 7.20 am.

HUGE news: some store we haven't visited before suddenly has some massively rare and long, long gone Struise beers for sale… Plans to visit Deconinck altered: going to that store instead. And leaving much earlier, to try and beat the Dutchies (it's on the border)...

Got up at 5.30 am in order to be able to quit work early… Mate picked me up at my store at 10.30. Drove 100 kilometres. Visited store. Drove another 130 kms. Visited Deconinck. 80kms home.
Best 6 hours spent. My attorney advices me not to mention how much I spent reason being I could be declared "officially and completely out of his fucking mind"... My mate spent twice as much as I did though... He drove well for being strapped in a straightjacket...
