After a lot of to'ing and fro'ing with H.  This is what we have decided:

FW2016  Dark grey/black and maroon
FW2017  Charcoal grey and navy

Yes.  We wanted to do a work shirt and sampled it, but because the fabric has so much skew we could not even start to match the pattern up (it matters not on a western so much as the pockets and yokes are cut on the bias).  H decided it offended his sensibilities too much…

My question for the "black/dark grey" UFH in FW 2016; is it supposed to actually be black, or just a very dark grey? How much variation in shade do you personally want to see compared to the charcoal one in the future?

2016 Dark Grey perhaps even black, 2017 lighter…....Until we sample the actual weaves, that's about as accurate as I can get...

Is this cotton only used for UHF's? To my hand the IHTB-01 has a very similar soft/woolly feel.

Cool. Thanks G. I must say this is amazing information to hear. I knew IH used good cotton, but using many different heirloom varieties for the different products is impressive. In addition to the qualities of the fibers, apparently tree cotton is also great for dealing with the issues of drought and pests which makes it ideal for climate change and makes it quite sustainable.

I spoke to H.  Needless to say, we are such a minuscule buyer of Aspero, we will only find out if and when we can't find it.  He is proceeding with the 4 UHF's I have in the pipe on the basis that all will be OK….

No.  A couple of new Buffalo's and a couple of plains.  I asked H to dream up another "crazy plaid", let's see if he was listening…..
