Madrugada Obscura sour stout from Jolly Pumpkin. I had no idea what to expect from this one, couldn't begin to wrap my brain around the concept of a sour stout. It's actually pretty great, just a good sour with a touch of the richness and creaminess of a good stout.

That would be a tough one to get outside of TX I reckon? But, a really good more readily available sour/stout would be Tart of Darkness:

Yup, not easy to find outside of Texas but the last few times I've been out to the brewery they've had it on tap.
Funny that you mention Tart Of Darkness since we can't get The Breuery in Texas.

Pannepot 2007. Downright mindboggling. Beautiful evo. Very, very slight sour touch, but nowhere near oxidised or past its peak.

Gotta have a session ale to break up the bombers once in a while. They usually make good palate cleansers and beat drinking water. LOL
