East Coast meetup and elsewhere

When I started this thread in this forum, I kind of wondered how it would go. I met a second forum member tonight, @Akuma no uta, and had a nice time. Nice also meeting Basia. I think I will continue putting in my travel destinations and dates. Since I spend 240 nights a year in Hotels, its a nice break in my usual routine to meet up with fellow Iron Heart devotee.

Next stop UK. I arrive 9 Oct., depart 17 Oct. Mainly staying in London, with a visit to Gosport on the 13th, and Bath on the 16th. Other plans with friends in Kew.

Very nice Sam!!!

You're not exactly on a budget, ROman, are ya? Friends (one of them a railway enthusiast) who have been to London recently marveled about the St Pancras hotel, but couldn't afford it. Plane seat doesn't look like cattle class either.
Okay, I try to switch envy control mode on
and just say: really nice trip, keep us posted!

Now to my favorite part of the trip. Tuesday the 13th, after a slight hangover from Paris, I made it to Gosport, I bought 4 shirts, IHSH 33 black, IHSH 13, IHSH 91, IHSH 123. Then I spotted the new back pack on the wall. @Giles , @Madame Buttonfly , @Winchy and @Sam are all extremely nice people. Hopefully I will see them all again soon. Spending the day there was great.

It really was a great trip. Out of 9 days, it only rained 1 evening. Thanks Ian for the comment. Black Orchid Bath is a beautiful city. I had fun there. I took a ton of pictures, only posted a couple. I wanted to get this out before I go back to work tomorrow. I forgot to mention that I met Junior and Jake at Rivet and Hide, they were very nice also.

@ROman nice photos. since you travel so much. do make this your thread and update them with awesome photos for us to enjoy!!

@ROman it was so great to meet you! Thanks again for taking the time to come down to Gosport.
So your surprise trip was to Cliveden - how lovely! We used to live close by and visited the gardens regularly, and some friends got married there (very posh wedding).
Glad your week in the UK went so well, and many thanks for the photos. Not a lot of interest yet from the cats for their new garden house, but will let you know if they ever start to use the darn thing!

@twin , I had a great time, @louisbosco I will continue to add travel photos. Right now I'm in the boring town of Rocky Mount, NC. @Madame Buttonfly , yes Cliveden was great. My friends said to dress smart, so I wore my smartest Iron Hearts. Lunch started out in the bar with appetizers, then moved into the dining room. Really a nice place including the gardens. I looked up the cat house, your cats may think, a warm house or a cat house? A feral cat may think, hmmm a safe house. Not sure. Keep me posted.
