I think that the problem with the super thick shirts like the IHW-01 is the need for a gap between the button and shirt. I've had the buttons on my melton need reinforcing but luckily haven't lost one yet. This has also been an issue on one of my MF jackets due to the same problem.

If I had to choose between buttons and copper snaps - buttons everytime. Unless they're smaller than on the 76 / 99, these look too dominant for my liking.

The copper snaps absolutely suit the 99 and I love them, but they're not necessarily going to match the aesthetic of other shirts, so I'm fairly ambivalent on this

Look.  This is what is going to happen.  I will speak to Haraki and if we can put buttons on the IHSH-54. that is what will happen.  Black Permex will go on the IHSH-52.
