I did my first tub wash of my 816's, and I think we need CHOCOLATE BROWN duck to be made. Deep, dark brown duck pants, vests and a type 3 jacket

When I'm not thinking about my cat or my girlfriend, I fantasize about a pair of 25 oz indigo warp/ sulphur black weft Mega Beatle Busters, with a bright blue selvedge ID, all black stitching (and 3xWorks W), extra long outside top-stitch that runs down mid-thigh, oversized watch pocket, with silver rivets, and a black leather patch. I'd say retails for $666 USD, but I don't care what they cost…

I could not agree more about the chocolate brown.  A great color missing from the current offerings.  Please make the 816 cut like the navy/khaki/brown OG 816.  The DD and black wabash 816 have been labelled 816, but the cut is quite different.

The different colored duck suggestion seems to come up a lot. If I remember correctly Giles mentioned it could be done pretty easily, but then theres never any agreement regarding exact color and cut.

I have seen chocolate brown suggested (by myself and others), and met with enthusiasm.  I wished that H would consider making a moleskin, and that it come in charcoal and chocolate brown in the OG 816 cut.  I still think this would be amazing.

Yep, plus one on the chocolate brown 816 duck suggestion and various other colors for that matter (charcoal, army green, black, etc…)

I need to commit to a shitload of fabric when it is a run of canvas.  Maybe enough for a 1,000 pairs.

Beige, Black and Navy are easy, because we already make/have stock of the fabric.  Any other colour is hard….

G, any thoughts on moleskin?  I can say from the pair that I have that it is incredibly tough stuff.  There is a good reason it was used for workwear.  It also ages beautifully.  I'd love to hear your thoughts.  Maybe a small mill run like the ih-712 fabric, but in an 816 cut?

I've seen that IHJP has black duck… With what G said about the amount that needs to be ordered, I don't think it would be a long shot to assume IHUK would eventually have some black duck items
