I have a couple of pairs of ONI's and my favourites are my ONI 527ZR Denim - Low Tension 20oz Secret Denim Tapered Leg. These are beasts and have an appearance quite unlike any other denim I've seen or owned / own;

I am looking for a pair of slubby denim that meets the following criteria..

1. Medium rise, waist size 30 with 12.5 inches of room in the thighs

2. Preferably black denim with zip fly

3. Poly cotton stitching would be nice as well.

Any jeans by PBJ or Oni that meet these criteria?

I'm pretty sure that thigh measurement/waist ratio is going to be a tough thing to find.

Agreed.  It's extremely rare to see Japanese jeans with a 12.5" thigh on anything below size 34, and PBJ usually runs slim, even for Japanese.  Zippers are going to be nearly as hard to find.

How about 31 inches for waist and 12.4 for thighs? I can adjust with button fly.

^^^^ this. I am a 33 and can't get some fits to work due to a thigh <12". Buy a good belt.

Any of you good people have any experience with the 502zr 20oz secret denim?

I'd love some advice on sizing. I've found size charts on BiG and Denimio for both one wash and raw. Judging by the measurements I'm tending towards a 29, which gives me a 31.5 waist and 11.5 thigh, which seems pretty ideal but I'm interested in hearing anyone's personal experience, you can only get so much from a chart and although I wear a 30 in lots of brands, I've never worn a 29 in my life.

Any help appreciated!
