England really impressed me today against New Zealand. NZ were unable to go through the English defense and England was not at all helped by referee Owens. Looking forward to the test game next week.

Good tough game…That's the type of contest we like first up.
The All Blacks typically get better each game so you can expect to see at least a 25% lift for the next match. That will be the challenge for England, can they improve?
The All Blacks real strength is finding a way to win, ugly or pretty!

France… you're killing me!
me too… they were absolutely horrible. sad, but a reflection of the French Rugby championship: teams look to defend first and foremost. The offensive skills, ball handling, creativity, etc... are gone.
It works in the EU cup because opponents from England or Ireland are either not very good at offense or have a bad day. I much prefer Irish provinces when they are all out, but even that is boring compared to Southern Hemisphere (particularly NZ) rugby -
Fantastic try by the Samoa No14!

Well done Ireland for beating SA yesterday, hopefully the World Cup will have a few contenders next year.

Countdown to the World Cup! I have tickets for 3 games in London, although sadly none for England. Anyone else here going to watch, either live or via the medium of telly?
-
I shall def be watching via the tv plus going to a match at the olympic stadium in Oct. my father in law got two tickets to the final via the local residents lottery. Really looking forward to watching the matches!
What games are you going to? I managed to get to the first warm up match a few weeks ago at Twickenham. The atmosphere was awesome

NZ v Argentina and Ireland v Romania (sure it was Rumania when I was a kid!) and SA v USA at Olympic stadium. This will be a good preview of the stadium for next season as my son and I are West Ham fans.

That was feckin awesome. I feel I can legitimately get behind Japan given my contribution to their economy.

Indeed. Truth is I found it more enjoyable than the ruddy England match! Some South African friends were there. When they bought the tickets they were bragging what an easy win it would be.
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
As the match was playing I was having great fun dubbing their noses in it. Japan played bloody well!

Well played Scotland, desperately unlucky. A friendlier official and you probably would be in the semis. Australia need to get Pocock back quickly.
Well played NZ, ominous for everyone else.
Well played Argentina, comprehensively victory over the 6N champs.
SA - you did just enough to beat a one-dimensional Wales team missing almost an entire backline.
