You could not make this shit up:

Sepp Blatter: Fifa president says he did not resign

Sepp Blatter says he has not resigned as Fifa president.
The 79-year-old Swiss was thought to have ended his 17-year reign on 2 June amid claims of corruption in world football's governing body.
But, according to Swiss newspaper Blick,  Blatter told a party at a Fifa museum: "I did not resign. I put myself and my office in the hands of the Fifa congress."

He's a genuine loon, he won't leave until he's either dead or in prison.

Not sure @Megatron1505 , I mean it must be possible to run FIFA from prison with the inevitable support he will have from the world's various football associations, right…?  lol

maybe he's getting a little senile.

Someone Blatter is still running FIFA. Despite calls for his resignation from:

Got to give it to him.  He has a sense of humour:

In a statement released through his lawyers on Friday, Blatter said resigning now "would not be in the best interest of Fifa, nor would it advance the process of reform".

FIFA have suspended him for 90 days!

No doubt due to pressure from sponsors!  😉

Platini is even worse, I remember him crying and begging Blatter to leave to save Fifa but what he really meant was that he should take the throne to earn the big money instead of old chap Josef. Such freaking hypocrites…

What better "qualification" to succeed the Seppl than to be suspended together with him? I would not be surprised at all if Monsieur Platini becomes FIFA head after all. Platini received close to two million € for "services rendered nine years ago", nice! Naturally, when you are truly big rollers, such small change can easily get overlooked.

The only citation that comes to my mind is the famous Max Liebermann dictum: "I can't devour as much as I want to barf up" (sorry for any flaw with my extemporaneous translation from German).

Keep your jeans on–-and let nothing come in between you and the denim !
