recall when the 301s didn't have selvedge id, & it was a big deal  to a few of us & we went over all the reasons it could & couldn't happen?
then a few years later BOOM, 301s have selvedge id.

IMHO, it takes up too much bandwidth to change those few details that only a very small portion of the community is asking about. the factories get what it takes to make 634s with their eyes closed at this point. to go in & change it is probably a pain in the ass that isn't needed, but keep voicing your opinion cause who knows, in another few years if enough folks b!tch & moan, maybe, just maybe they will change all those small but so important details

Except I think a selvedge fly is a detail that improves quality over a lock-stitched cut edge where the stitching can fray.

        Now this makes sense!

It sucks big time that they only offer a limited size range!

I'm looking to pull the trigger on these but I'm trying to make a decision re: hemming. I'm in Australia so I'd like to get them hemmed before I get them to prevent shipping back and forth. My favourite pair of canvas pants has a 29inch inseam and given there are only 37inch inseams left in my size (36W) cuffing potentially 5-6 inches of heavy denim seems like madness.
From what I've read in this thread around 1.5-2inch extra inseam is a good idea, so i was thinking of having them hemmed to a 32inch inseam which will either crumple to fit almost perfectly or leave me with a reasonable 1-2 inch cuff. Appreciate any thoughts.

Hi guys! Got mine a week ago. Thanks to axel for advice with inseam length. It's not first of my heavy denim pair. I had a 643s and couple of another medium weight denims, but xhs is unbelievable monster!

                              Hey everyone:

Took some photos of my guys.  They were worn hard for about 2.5 years.  Then they took a break because I now have the new 633s.  Many washes, many soaks.  Enjoy!

@bob it was usually covered by the IHD or 33.

I checked my Beatle Busters out in comparison since this got me thinking. But I think the patches on these are a little thicker than the regular 21 oz. too.

I have a few different varieties of IH bottoms, and these were my first and favorite (except they must be put away in not weather, let's face it).

I even have a pair that fit now!  If you are on the market for a pair of 31x34 of these, I've posted mine in "Buying and Selling".

Learnt my lesson:  Buy these roomy. They ain't a-gonna give much back.

I tried fixing it but every time i do it just goes back the way it was, any ideas on how to fix this? Will ironing the cuff out and a new one back in work?

You can try dunking the cuff area, which stiffens the fabric upon drying. Perhaps that stiffer cloth can support a new cuff crease.@jmattsen:

I always put a hard crease on my cuffs with an iron. They never move after that
