It's actually crazy how different the self edge od denim is compared to the 21 oz. imo this jacket is really comfortable and wearable, the self edge version is just nuts though!

The SE version looks very close to this. Longer body but shorter arms, I like the longer arms in this version.

Why you say SE version is nuts?

Purely in terms of denim. It's a lot stiffer and takes much longer to fade.

In terms of wearability and general usefulness, 526j-od wins. In terms of whatthefuckery, the self edge models got no equal!

There are various versions of the SE overdyed jacket using different denims, which one are you talking about?

I'm talking the old sexih modified with longer length and pockets that was od. Sexih07iii modified…there was only two, that both used the same denim, that were overdyed Collabs right?

They used different denim….The last version was our regular (IH-666S) 18oz denim....

Ahhh, interesting, I figured that since the pics were exactly the same it was the same denim. I'm still guessing that overdyed unsanforized denim will feel more intense than 21 oz od though!

Yep, the 18 goes really wild.  The IH-666sod we used to make were the hardest jeans we had to hem…

I've got the 18 oz. variant of the SE jacket and it's definitely some tough stuff!

Pictures held me over till tomorrow. UPS man should have my jacket and a nice 10oz pair of denim too, can't wait!

Sucks it is so warm, will have to wait to really rock it.

Got her today…love it! Once she is broken in good, I can see having a flannel underneath easily. Plenty of chest room, the arms are smaller than any other IH gear I have, but I love them.

Even wearing it for the past few hours, she is breaking in quickly, can't wait for even a weeks worth.

This 21oz is very different from the 20oz unsanforized jeans I got from IH. The 20oz seems to be a looser weave. I like this 21oz.

                          Which 20oz?

The IH LH Twills are super tightly woven to reduce weft show through which is a tendency in LH twills…

Oh so the 21 is looser and the 20/22 loomstate is tighter, cool to know.

The 21 is a relatively open weave, that is why it breathes so well….

I think the od-ing maybe tightens the seams and the fabric a bit, but that gives after a while and it behaves the same way as regular 21oz. Heavy but airy and soft.
