So cool from IHUK!!! I remember a time where you had to pay USD500 for the XHS and now it´s just USD400. That´s why I love my IH gear, I know it comes from honest people. Will back you up everytime I can.

I'm getting a tad irritated with people who have bought of us over the last few months emailing me and asking for a refund as we have reduced the retail prices.

          1. Please read what Paula said in the newsletter:

There is no ideal time to change pricing, and we hope that those of you who have made recent purchases love what you bought and don’t feel frustrated that prices have been lowered. The easy option for us would be to change nothing and take all the benefit of the lower costs, but – as well as recognizing we would become less competitive against other brands – whilst we need to make acceptable margins to run a healthy business, our ethos is to supply Iron Heart at a fair price and with the cost base lowering we recognized you deserved a better deal.

          1. Would you expect me to write to you asking for more money if we had put prices up?

Not everyone thinks that way, I can assure you.  Pleased with the few things i have bought so far at full price, and have taken advantage of today's news already.

Considering the easiest course of action would have been to apply the new discount to future items only, which still would have been great PR, to apply the discount to existing items and the work this has created is pretty remarkable.

            Cheers!

I'm disgusted that the black M65 I bought in the sale recently wasn't even cheaper and shall be writing to the Daily Mail to complain that I haven't been offered a full refund and allowed to keep the jacket.

If someone bought something at full price doesn't that mean they felt that was a fair price for what they were purchasing?

I will repeat my earlier post.  I bought the IHxVS-T1-DD jacket a few weeks ago.  Happy to say I feel very good about the $425 I paid for it and think I got a great deal.  Would feel the same way about the $425 I paid even if the jacket was priced 10% lower today.

Sounds like there are a few children who need to be put down for their daily nap.

IHUK could offer to give a complimentary pair of jeans to every single person who has ever bought anything from Iron Heart in the entire existence of the company, as long as they paid for shipping, and there would inevitably be bitching that Giles didn't pick up the cost of postage.

                        Some people are just bastards.

My thoughts exactly, Chris. Whiners. I suppose I can sort of understand feeling a little disappointed in the cosmos if you buy something for $450 that's $400 the next day, but just go home and watch TV instead of going to dinner and a movie and the difference is made up. And I will never understand directing any of that frustration or disappointment at IH. They're passing along savings to us for the future, and telling their retailers to do the same. Sounds great to me.

I agree. People griping about this not being fair is silly. That said, I suppose there is no shame in asking. Some businesses do offer money back when you buy something right before it goes in sale.

This is not a sale and in point of fact you will find that we are more than fair to people who buy something just before a sale.  Usually, emailing them before they contact us.

Perhaps it was just people trying to scheme/justify their next IH purchase?

"Well there's now 10% off this…. If I can get 10% back off these things I just bought I'm halfway towards that black wabash workshirt, at which point they're practically giving it away and I'd be a fool not to"!

Right. I get that, but to many people it probably feels like one (especially people that are new to IH), and, therefore, they feel slighted. Judging by the comments on this thread, I bet there is a negative correlation between bitching and amount of time being a member of the forum. That is, longtime members don't complain, but rather see this as a good thing for the long run regarding future purchases and their faith in the brand. People who just bought IH for the first time and don't know the culture around here might feel ripped off (imagine if you bought multiple jeans/shirts for the first time on Sunday night).

Imagine if someone had ordered a load of stuff on Sunday and I put the prices up on Monday and then sent out a supplementary invoice….
