        Good luck! If you hang in there you'll never want a pair of sanforized jeans again!

              If they are already a little snug then, like Peter said, a cold soak with minimal agitation is the way to go. You should then be able to stretch them past the pre-soak measurements if needs be, although you might have to work at it for the first few hours…

                        Yeah, Monday, these are truly great.
                        I probably would have considered leaving them unrepaired and rock the torn look in my off hours. But I fully understand that you can put them to more use this way, repair was also excellently done!

                        Keep your jeans on–-and let nothing come in between you and the denim !

                                    I am here to seek advice from this assemblage of the worlds finest denim aficionados.
                                    I am about to pull the trigger on my first pair of IH Jeans and having read this thread I am no closer to feeling comfortable with sizing. Any advice would be appreciated

                                    I currently own 3sixteens, with one being unsanforized and the other sanforized. They are both sized 34.

                                    Measurements are

                                    316+                                                      316 st220X
                                    waist= 34                                            Waist = 35
                                    FR= 10.5                                              FR= 11
                                    RR= 15                                                RR=14.5
                                    th= 12                                                Th= 12.25
                                    kn= 9                                                  Kn= 8.5
                                    hem= 7.5                                            Hem = 7.5

                                    The 316+ are well worn and I would be a touch happier if they were a hair roomier in the waist and upper block. I have looked and looked at the measurements of the 36&34 and I am torn. I am leaning towards a little more room accommodate my size, so am thinking the 36 with a good hot soak would be good. I just really don't know and I am trying to avoid the return shipping for an exchange…
                                    I defer to you group of experts in all things Iron Heart and am hoping you can steer me in the right direction so I can begin my obsession with IH pants (I'm already an avid fan of the tops).
                                    Thank You!

                                        I guess I'm wondering thoughts on a waist that will be a touch loose vs. spot on/snug, as all other measurements seem to be okay for me?

                                            Hi @boognish

                                            Sam here… the guy whose legs are in the pics on the website.
                                            Just wanted to drop my 2 cents on the situation. The 555-02's were my first ever IH's too and i love them.
                                            I've just had a quick read of your messages and i think you'd be better off with the tag 33's. You said you wanted a bit extra space in the waist and they'll still fit you nicely in the thighs.

                                            Go for it buddy. You won't be disappointed.
