      @Seul:

I saw they won from Founders - pretty crazy. In the final they were 45-55 against Bells at one point. Has that contest ended?..

Yep, it ended this week and we came out on top.  Beat Founder's and Bell's, so pretty stoked on that.

@Quoise Glad you're enjoying our stuff.  Superfluid is one of my favorites that we've brewed recently!

Hey guys, lots of beer in the last few days!
        Last night:

Vintage Nun from local Austin brewery Adelbert's.
Pretty nice, smooth witbier. I'm not usually the biggest fan of what Adelbert's does but this one was good.
Then today we made it out to Jester King.

Cerversa La Frontera, new collaboration with Crooked Stave and Brasserie Trois Dames.
Farmhouse ale fermented in sherry barrels, absolutely loved this one. The idea behind the collaboration was that the three brewery were to use the same ingredients and see how each beer adapts in each respective location.

Reposé, farmhouse ale brewed with hay and aged in brandy barrels.

Hibernal Dichotomous, farmhouse ale brewed with beets, oranges and thyme.

Saison d'Erpe Mere from Brouwerji De Glazen Toren. One of our overall favorites of the day!

Persimmon Ship from Jolly Pumpkin, saison brewed with persimmons and dragonfruit.
And of course I brought a few more bottles home.
Brought back a bottle of both Cerveza Sin Frontera and Hibernal Dichotomous along with Equipoise (farmhouse brewed with ginger salt, tarragon and fermented with cantaloupe in a MASSIVE bottle) and a bottle of Bible Belt from Prairie and Evil Twin.

Drinking a Dark Penance and loving it! Nice dark and quite bitter. Funny how man IPAs I'm enjoying of late considering how long it took to find one I liked.

Bourbon: because living in Kentucky just makes you want to drink

Yep - that's a solid saison!.. Have a bottle here, might "need" to open it this afternoon…

I think that this one was actually my girlfriend's favorite of the day, still working on finding beers that she likes.
I found it very good as well, would definitely buy a bottle if I managed to find some around here.

Thanks for the recommendations, I've been on the lookout for beers from Brasserie Fantôme.
Still expanding my Belgian beer taste, I just seem to always get sidetracked with all the American ones.

Well, with a US based brewery such as Hill Farmstead, I'd figure you not needing any Belgian saisons  🙂

Oh: and I'll trade Fantôme for HF, btw…

Valid point! We don't seem to get any Hill Farmstead stuff distributed down here sadly.
That being said it doesn't seem like any of their beer leave Vermont.
Same goes with Maine Beer Company, but I'm determined to find some when I'm in DC in about a month.

Brilliant saison… Been in the stockroom of my flat for two years... Was a bit scared I killed it... Popped the cork - that first whiff just blew me away...

I apologize for the sideways pic. But it's kinda fitting since that's the way I feel.

                          Cheers! 

                            Drinking this tonight, pretty interesting.

I'm not well versed on fruit beers at all, but this nearly tastes like some kind of raspberry punch.
Not a bad change of pace, doesn't feel like 9.2% ABV.

Something about the carbonation of it almost tasted flat, but in a good way.
Not really sure how to explain it, but at Jester King it was served correctly at the right temperature. Really tasty.
