Forty eight… that's a sportster model isn't it. It actually looks pretty nice. I went off new bikes many years ago but this one looks like it's based on old school Harleys.
I actually might go and take a look at that bike but it wouldn't surprise me if its not available here. I gotta get something with an electric start, my main rider still gotta be kick started and my knee doesnt like it sometimes. Not really a fan of the sports bikes with all the crap on them but this bike looks good. -
Harley has done a great job with their Sportster models. The 48, The 72 and 883 Iron are all really nice retro looking bikes. I am planning on customizing an 883 in the next year as a project to keep me busy during the off season. While sportsters are a little small for me, I really like the look and they are great for the city. My son would love one, but I told him he can be like me and wait until he's in his 40's and has grown kids before getting a bike!

You need to get him a bike pronto if he's old enough and wants one. To long to wait till 40's. When I came home from getting my license my dad surprised me with a brand new commando. That same bike today is probably my main rider.
There's something special when a father and son share a love for bikes.
We got this one to do together a few years ago but he got too old and I just cant get enough enthusiasm going to do it on my own. Maybe oneday.
