That 'email' thing would bug me if I won the lottery and had the chance to buy that watch.  Otherwise, it is lovely.

isn't that the new spilt second chrono? and yeah the video isn't focused on it. it's kinda distracting.

No idea why someone thought it necessary to annotate what materials are used on a watch face.

The Minimatik has me conflicted. On the one hand there is a lot to like, but on the other the styling looks like that of a watch several price tiers beneath it.

          Think it, be it.

              Here's my latest acquisition, a Bulova 96A102:

and a lume shot, because it's pretty impressive:

Really enjoying the watch.  Would prefer if it were a bit smaller and mechanical, in keeping with its military style.

I used to own a Seagull 1963 watch.  I still do own it, but the watch face fell off and I noticed too late to save the hands from being mangled.  A very beautiful (and cheap) watch, but evidently not very well built. Stock photos below, because I never thought to take pictures of my own:

I like the two tone Lume on the Bulova, an interesting feature that I don't think I have seen before.

The new Omega Ploprof also has two-tone lume, but the Bulova beat it. I've not seen it before either.

I've seen it done on a few watches, but I think Ball Watches does it best, using a mix of tritium tubes to produce multicolor dials.

I know that on the forum there are quite a few fans of Seiko Divers watches.

Here is a good review of the Seiko GMT SUN023 divers watch.  Looks an interesting piece, the multi colour dial and bezel certainly makes it distinctive.  The colours remind me of an old Zenith Rainbow Flyback I owned.

The 24 hour extra time travel hand should also prove a useful complication for those of you who regularly find yourself travelling.

RE: Two tone lume.  I had always thought of it as the hands being brighter than the numbers, never really considered it two tone.

Now that people have mentioned it, the shade of lume is slightly different.. I think perhaps the lume compound is the same, but being mounted on a metal hand rather than a (plastic?) watch face makes it look a different shade/brightness?

Sticking with the multi colour watch theme, here are two more offerings.

A new Sinn limited edition just released at Basel

And a new version of the Zenith Rainbow flyback

I owned the original Rainbow flyback a few years ago now.  I quite like the updated version but probably would not buy it.  Your tastes definitely change as you get older.

I like the Sinn's combination of a red strap with a black case. The Breitling B55 riffed on the same combination, and Bell and Ross had a few pieces out last year.

Some really great watches in those articles.  The GO is really lovely; I've always had a weakness for the jumbo date, and I think 6 o'clock is the perfect location for a date window.

But that Sarpeneva is the true standout.  I love the overall unique, but not over-the-top weird, design and especially the face moon phase complication.  And solid, formed and machined luminant is, in my opinion, a more noteworthy development than virtually anything else in the watch world.  I really, really want one.
