IHD-01 - Special G Denim Version

One of my favourite IH pieces is this OD shirt / jacket.
Love the pockets, so practical and useful.
Owned this for around a year now and it is starting to show some minor Evo. Working away from home for half the year is not conducive to gaining evo on your garments but this shirt is slowly getting there.

Time for a bump. A wash brought out great contrast (though it gets lost in the bluriness of the pictures).

Incidentally @mahlaon 321, my own first IH shirt was the IHD-01 (OD version though) followed shortly by IHSH 68 (hickory stripes work shirt).. Bought them in succession back in May 2013.. We must have similar tastes and/or brand history

Thanks @zatenm, they are solid IH staples, shacket and hickory. can't really go wrong. I would also hazard a guess that we aren't the only ones to have taken a similar trip down the IH garden path

both the 07 and this showed up in the same blue bag as my mbb's (that was a happy day!) and while they haven't had nearly as much wear as the jeans, they have all got better with age!!

Looks like you're right about the shared history of that shirt [emoji4] Your last pic/comments have seriously re-opened my appetite for the D-01, it's been too long… Time to wear the (possibly original?) shaket again!
By the way, only recently noticed they wear called Special G Denim Version. No sure what the extended name meant but the shirt sure has an iconic feel to it... Need to wear it way more often -

Haraki conceived the IHW-01 (Melton wool CPO). I came up with (or a forum member more accurately) the idea of doing the same cut out of denim.
It was one of my first "Haraki-can-you-do-this-for-me" moments, so when he said yes, it was special….

Interesting. I figured that it was a precursor to the numbered shirt versions now. Learn something new each day.
