Nice score PP, the vest looks great… I wear mine all the time and it never changes (and that's OK) - I don't know how you'd soften the beast up other than rolling around on concrete.  And for use on motorcycle it is truly protective gear.

I usually size out the same as Giles, so it should work with a t-shirt.

I wear a large in Iron Heart shirts. I have this vest in medium and can wear it with hoodies and flannels just fine. You should be good.

Please forgive me for not reading all 55 pages of this post.

I need help deciding between a Small and Medium in the IH-9526V. My measurements are pretty much in between the numbers (small / medium) on the charts for these 2 sizes.

The most i would layer over would be a t-shirt and long sleeve shirt and possibly a thin wool sweater.

I own an IHSH-75, size medium and it fits perfectly.

I am 5' 7.5" tall, weigh 140 lbs, 32" waist.

On the vest measuring chart my numbers are:
#1 17"
#2 10"
#3 20.5"
#4 18.5"
#5 26.25"
#6 24.25"

Giles, you were spot on about my vest sizing.

I was between a small and a medium and you suggested small which i bought.

Just layering a tee shirt i have extra room with a small vest. Layering a thick hoodie underneath is the most i could manage comfortably.

However, the medium would be too large in every dimension unless i wanted to layer more under it.

For those interested you can see my exact measurements a few posts previous to this.

I mention this so others that are in between sizes would know my experience.

The measurements given for the vest and the "How we measure" sync up perfectly.

Small vest layered over my Medium IHSH-75 work shirt.

I am 140 lbs.,  5' 7.5" tall and the length covers my belt. Also, i'm old…
