J100's typically do not have a gusset (that is the V of leather you normally find behind the cuff zips).  I decided that I preferred it without and it is a hell of a lot comfier without.  What you see in the pic is the red lining…

This surprises me, I think I've seen sleeve gussets on at least some vintage J100s.

Either way, this is a magnificent beast that outdoes the original.

I was all over that brown GK, then bam! A whack to the solar-plexus, the J100 sticks its napper above the parapet! Decisions, decisions.  :-\

The length of this one is much better then the length of the last prototype.

Another contender for the free J-100 slot in my closet. I would prefere sleeve gussets though. I allways wear my sleeve zips open and would hate to expose my forearms all the time.

I'm a gusset guy too, but I love the contrast. So just make the gussets out of the red leather eh?
