Yeah, touch and feel a pair if you can. This tactile interaction alone will underpin the kind of quality that IH is rightly renowned for. As above, if you're going to be sandblasting buildings, skateboarding from dawn to dusk and spending your weekends ducking and rolling from speeding vehicles then don't expect them to last five years. My first pair of IH jeans are well and truly alive with normal wear after three years (though Nem in possession now) but my 666s are two and a half years old, well faded but lots of life left in them. Odds are if you get a pair you'll pretty much wear them most of the week. At cost per wear the value will speak for itself. Value and cheap are two completely different words that are, usually, mutually exclusive.

All true. I am just waiting on Self Edge to open and get back to me on the backrise of the size 38. If it is tall enough, I will be buying…99% positive.

Guessing once soaked the jeans will be about 22oz then? My legs won't like me for a while.

Anyone know where the cotton comes from in America? Guessing they import the american cotton to Japan to make the fabric? And everything is done in Japan then?

No, we don't consider it important as long as it does what it is supposed to

We import the cotton and everything else including making the yarn is done in Kojima

I have no problem paying for quality. That is what we sell our business on, plus a lot more(nothing in regards to the fabric industry).

Here is a really good question, for me…how are the pocket size? I like to carry quite a bit of stuff and like to have room without feeling like I am being jabbed to death due to the seat being way too tight. Anyone know how wide and deep the 5th pocket is?

I am glad to see one forum that is up to date with a good forum family that posts daily. Glad to be here!

Got word, back rise is 15". I am guessing with shrinkage maybe about 14.6" or so after soak. Almost an inch less than my current jeans and front rise will be a little over an inch shorter. Hmmm….That is low rise for me,haha. Hate not being able to try them on, at all.

I hate bending down and my ass showing. Plus CC, so the ability to keep my tops up higher is nice. Decisions....hmmmm

Talked to SENY and got the gentleman to measure. 11FR, 15BR, I could probably live with. But the opening is 8.75" which is a bit too big for my taste. 8" is PERFECT for my boots, 7.75 is nice too, 8.25 is probably livable with. I was hoping to hear 8.5, then assume shrinkage could take up about .25"

Does anyone have size 38 here? Or anyone with 34-36 and see what their opening is, to compare. Thanks

If you're used to, and like a high back- and frontrise, then do not go down a full inch there… Trust me... I can't even manage 0.5" lower a rise...

Well, I placed an order for a pair of size 38s. I just couldn't resist the material and want for a pair of Iron Heart heavy denim. A loomstate indigo/grey…I can't wait to feel them in my hands next week.

I do have slight worry about some measurements. Hope I can shrink the leg opening down to about 8.3" at least....haha. Hot ass water soak after the rest of the jeans have soaked in warm water.

What is the % of shrinkage of these jeans again? I read it somewhere...

Erm, possibly on the product page?

They have the inches marked, not percentage. If I knew what size that was from I can figure % out easy.

I have become very good with knowing my measurements, this is a slight risk for me… But it might be the best reward.

I am guessing how most denim is made it shrinks more vertically then horizontally.

Just received the jeans about 45 minutes ago. Took pre wash measurements and fit pictures(processing photos shortly).

I have to say I am not happy…I am ECSTATIC! I am glad SE and SENY were off in their measurements. Everything was a little bit bigger than what they say when I measure(and I measure 3 times). The only measurement that was smaller than I was told is the hem, soooo good! I believe it was 8.25", which means about 8 once dried 🙂

I will post pre wash measurements and pics shortly then. Just wanted to say I am extremely happy with everything.

Here are my pre wash measurments…My jeans have been in the tub for about 20 minutes or so already and I forgot to take inseam measurements, oh well.

                                      Waist  -  20"
                                      Front Rise - 11.1875"
                                      Back Rise - 15.375"
                                      Seat 5" Down - 24"
                                      Seat 8" Down - 25.25"
                                      Thich(at crotch) - 14.25-14.375"
                                      Thigh 1" Down - 13.875
                                      Thigh 2" Down - 13.25"
                                      Thigh 3" Down - 12.75"
                                      Thigh 4" Down - 12.125"
                                      Knee 13" - 9.375"
                                      Knee 15" - 9.25"
Leg Opening - 8.25"(the inside diameter, not outer)

Yes I know, a lot of measurements, but if I know those measurements I know jeans/pants will fit me perfectly.

Here some quick shots I took...

                                      The hairs

I love little details. Both sides are selvedged finished, which I love

Now for two fit pics, I paid the model nothing…

For being such a heavy denim, they don't seem bad. I wore thicker/more uncomfortable clothing in my life. Can't wait for these to be dry overnight and throw them on tomorrow!

I've got the 633S and need them to stretch just a little in the waist to be more comfortable.
Doesn't seem to be happening very easily.

Thanks guys. The denim is very pretty, can't wait to see how it performs over the next few years. I can probably say now this will be one of, if not my favorite pairs ever. They are still drying, but I took a hem measurement and they are at 8", so I am super happy.

I can never let my fiancee know how much I spent though, she would literally kill me. She just doesn't get raw denim and all its offerings. 😞

I will be back to post measurements and fit pics tomorrow. I am surprised there isn't more talk about this denim. Loomstate is one of the rarest fabric to find, at least for me.
