Drank this last night, pleasantly surprised.
Didn't think a beer brewed with oyster mushrooms would be very good at all, but leave it to Jester King to pull something like that.
Had very little mushroom taste, the overall beer almost reminded me more of a cider or champagne.
Perfect for the warm weather we've been having.

How can anyone have a favorite beer? So many good beers out there, and TONS of bad ones.

Right now I am loving Samuel Smith Stout beers. I have to try their Oatmeal still, but their chocolate stout is SUPERB!

I just tried a new one tonight. I like to try 3-10 new beers a month if I can… 🙂

                        Saranac Caramel Porter, VERY good!

I drink all my beers(well the good ones) at room temperature mostly, get full flavor of the beer.

xtclassic, looks good. Have you tried Labatts Bourbon Barrel Ale? I was actually surprised by the taste. It was different then anything I had in a while. Smooth with a good bourbon taste, just right to my tongue.

I haven't tried anything by Labatt's, but anything aged in bourbon barrels is automatically worthy of a sip.

@Seul the Hopslam trade has fallen through, impatient ass drank them all! I did pick up a couple today, one I believe may be a nice replacement if interested…

                                  http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/dark-horse-double-crooked-tree-ipa/43971/

Very good!!! Dark, dank, heavy hops…no citrus taste at all. My kind of IPA and 12% to boot...so tasty!!!

This is the other purchase, which is DELICIOUS in it's own right.

Just felt like a Dark Horse kinda day

There is only one type of beer I have yet to find one company that makes it that I like…IPAs...I can't stand em.

I love Samuel Adams, but their Rebel IPA...taste like evergreen...horrible!

Closest thing I found is an IPL, by Magic Hat, I haven't found any other IPLs the past year or so.

Anyone go to beer festivals? I got to go to one last year and it was a blast. Tricky thing is trying to try all the beer without getting tipsy and losing your taste.

I'm typically not an IPA guy either, but I would ask is it the bitterness, the overwhelming  citrus of most, or is there something else about them you just don't care for? Not all IPA's are of the citrus variety, and some are far more bitter than others. Do you like any hoppy brews?

I got into IPAs last summer… Do prefer the imperial IPAs though... Gimme a 9-13% IPA and I'm game!..

So jdl: I'll take that 12% bastard, if you'd be so kind  🙂

Speaking of IPA's these 2 are always in my fridge. Def different and fairly low % but both ultra tasty.
